Net2 Plus - Door control centre/controller with 2A-EV in Ku housing

Product information "Net2 Plus - Door control centre/controller with 2A-EV in Ku housing"

About - Net2 Plus is a network-based access control system. Such a system offers the possibility of centralised management, event notification and flexible control of user access authorisations. Each door control centre is part of the network, but can also work independently. It makes its own decisions and saves events.

The Net2 Plus door control centre is connected to the management computer with an RJ45 plug via a normal TCP/IP network. This greatly increases the flexibility of installation in buildings with LAN/WAN networks. The Net2 Plus door control centre also has an RS485 connection. This allows it to be connected to other Net2 Plus or Net2 Classic door control units via a CAT5 cable.

A Net2 Plus door control unit can also act as an interface to a LAN for an RS485 connection (daisy chain) of other Net2 Plus or Net2 Classic door control units so that they no longer require a TCP/IP interface.

Door control units are sold as an assembly, in a plastic housing or with a 2 A power supply in a plastic housing.

Installation - There is a label on the Net2 Plus door control unit that clearly shows the colour-coded connections for reader, power supply, etc. The door control centre has a relay with potential-free contacts and can therefore control electric strikes or other opening drives. Door and tamper contacts, exit buttons and local alarm devices can also be connected.

Door control centres communicate with the PC via the standard TCP/IP protocol of a LAN network. The Net2 Plus door control centre should be assigned a fixed IP address. All settings are made in the Net2 Configuration Utility.

The corresponding connections are equipped with diagnostic LEDs, which are helpful for a trouble-free installation. Terminal resistors can be switched on or off as required. External terminal resistors are not required.

Operation - All changes entered in the PC are immediately transmitted to the door control centre and stored there. When a user presents a transponder to a reader, the user is identified by the door control centre and access is granted or denied as appropriate.

Entry - Control centre
Product information - The Entry control centre is the central interface between a door station and the door and supplies the monitors with data and power via PoE. The ports can also be used to extend the network of door stations and monitors using Entry extension switches or to connect the control centre to a Net2 system running Net2 v4.25 or higher.Installation - Entry components can be easily connected using Cat5 or standard RJ45 patch cables. Entry can also utilise an existing network infrastructure for easy installation. As power and data are supplied via PoE over the same cable, a separate power supply is not required.Operation - A visitor starts a video call via the bell button on the external door station. Access can then be granted to the visitor via the Entry Monitor with its intuitive touchscreen user interface. The indoor monitor can be used either with the handset (for private calls) or in hands-free mode. When connected to Net2, access to the building can be authorised via PIN or code entry and/or a proximity transponder.

For easy installation, Entry can also utilise an existing network infrastructure. A separate power supply is not required thanks to PoE technology, as data and power are transmitted via the same cable.Operation - The visitor initiates a video call via the bell button on the door station. Access can now be granted via the internal Entry Monitor. This has an intuitive touchscreen user interface and can be used either via the handset for confidential calls or in hands-free mode.In conjunction with Net2 access control, access to the building can also be granted using a PIN code and/or proximity tag.

Net2 - Nano door control centre/controller with 2A-EV in plastic housing
Info - Net2 is a networked PC-controlled access control system with the advantages of centralised control, event logging and flexible control of user access options. Each door control centre is part of a network. However, it can be operated independently of other components, make its own decisions and record events. The Net2 Nano control panel uses wireless technology developed by Paxton Access to connect to the central PC running the Net2 software. Net2 Nano door control units can be used in conjunction with Net2 Classic and Net2 Plus door control units and can be integrated into existing Net2 installations. This is particularly useful in places where cabling is difficult.Door control units are available as a module (without housing), in a plastic housing or together with a 2 A power supply in a plastic housing. Net2 nano door control units cannot be installed in a metal housing, as this would interfere with the wireless connection. Net2 nano should be used with the Net2 software.Installation - There is a label on the Net2 nano door control unit on which the connections for the reader, door opener, power supply, etc. are clearly indicated by colour coding. The device has a dedicated output for an electric strike (incl. integrated diode) and a voltage-free relay output for switching any electric strike, other opening drive or electronic device. Exit buttons, door contacts, tamper switches and alarm devices can be connected. The door control centres transmit the data to the PC via the Net2Air USB interface or the Net2Air Ethernet interface. Paxton Access supplies products to determine the required wireless range at a site prior to installation. The corresponding connections are equipped with diagnostic LEDs, which are helpful for a trouble-free installation. Operation - All changes entered into the PC are transmitted to the door control centre and stored there. When a user presents a transponder to a reader, the user is identified by the door control centre and access is granted or denied accordingly.

Net2 - Desktop reader, USB
Info - The desktop reader is set up next to the PC. It is used to read transponders into a Net2 system and to identify transponders that have been found.Installation - Simply connect the reader to a USB port. No further cabling is required. Additional workstations can also be equipped with desktop readers. Operation - An uncoded transponder is applied to the desktop reader. This creates a new user file and the transponder number is automatically entered. The user details are entered into the file and the transponder is then issued to the user.If a transponder that has already been issued is applied to the desktop reader, the corresponding user file appears.
