The Virtual Card Network (VCN) from SimonsVoss is an innovative, virtual network that enables locking authorisations to be managed centrally and distributed to all cards, transponders or mobile devices integrated in the system. The 13.56 MHz proximity multirange card reader integrates seamlessly into this network, ensuring user-friendly and scalable access control.
The card reader supports wireless management of access authorisations through the SimonsVoss VCN system, which means that changes in access rights can be made quickly and without physically replacing keys or cards. This enables a high degree of flexibility and security in companies, building complexes or even larger organisations.

Proximity long-range reader
Info - The long-range reader was specially designed for access points in car parks. Its long reading range (up to 5 metres) means that the hands-free transponder can also be read inside a vehicle. Thanks to the built-in hands-free interface, no additional antennas or induction loops need to be laid. The reader also works with vehicles of different sizes. Only one reader needs to be installed at each access point. This reader also works with PROXIMITY transponders so that users without hands-free transponders can also use it.Installation - Fix the mounting plate to the post. The cables for the power and data lines are fed through the mounting plate into the back of the reader using a gland. The reader is wired according to the label on the door control centre. The reader is also connected to a power supply. Position several readers so that their active fields do not overlap.Operation - A hands-free transponder is read if it is within the reading range of the reader. When a transponder has been read, the door control unit determines the access authorisations. Access is granted or denied accordingly. If access is granted, the green LED flashes. Info - With the Net2 demo case, the installer can show potential customers how easy it is to operate the Net 2 system. We know from experience how much a good demonstration increases the chances of winning an order.The case contains a Net2 door control centre, a PROXIMITY reader, a PROXIMITY KP keypad, three transponders and the Net2 software.
