The reader forwards the read information to the door control centre. If the card is recognised as authorised, access is granted. Access is denied if the card is invalid.Note: This reader is suitable as a supplement or replacement within an existing standalone system. It is not possible to set up a new standalone system with this reader, as the Cardlock starter packs are no longer available.

The cable is centred at the rear. A metal mounting plate is supplied so that the reader can be securely mounted. Alternatively, a housing can be used for aP installations and the cable is connected to the reader inside this housing. The keypad is connected to the mounting plate using four large safety fasteners. Appropriate tools are supplied.Operation - A code is entered.
